Katie is a Pocatello native with a deep commitment to serving her local community through compassionate, effective mental health care. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Boise State University in 2008 and went on to complete her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling at Idaho State University in 2012.
Since then, Katie has provided psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, families, adolescents, and children. She is a registered supervisor and brings a thoughtful, supportive approach to both clinical work and professional mentorship.
Her primary theoretical orientation is Adlerian Family Therapy. She holds a Certificate in Adlerian Psychotherapy and integrates a variety of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). She is currently working toward certification in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), with expected completion in Spring 2026.
Katie has extensive experience working with depression, anxiety, PTSD, trauma, relationship and family concerns, parenting challenges, behavioral issues, and sexual behavior concerns, including pornography-related issues. Her approach to care emphasizes introspective work, helping clients gain insight, recognize blind spots, and develop a deeper understanding of themselves in ways that support meaningful and lasting change.
Outside of her professional work, Katie enjoys spending time with her family and embracing the outdoors through golfing, camping, boating, skiing, and other outdoor activities.
